ZahnInsel Bern

ZahnInsel is located at Laupenstrasse 35 in Bern, just a few minutes from the train station. The pediatric dentistry unit is led by dentist med. dent. Nora Oelbermann, who previously worked at the Bern school dental clinic, and the practice also serves as a school dentist for Bern. The first appointment usually involves no treatment, instead the child gets to explore the treatment chair, the instruments, and the room through play, guided by the mascot Drachi. This first visit is recommended around age two to three.

The range of services includes prophylaxis, treatment of baby teeth, early detection of misaligned teeth, space maintainers after premature tooth loss, sealing of the six-year molars, treatment of enamel formation disorders (MIH), and care after dental accidents. Nitrous oxide is available for anxious children, with general anesthesia if needed, alongside needle-free numbing. Opening hours run Monday to Friday, with long hours on certain days, and Saturday by appointment. Consultations are offered in German, English, and French.
